Judge Broniec employs one permanent clerk and one full-time clerk for a two-year term, running from August 1 to July 31 of the second year. The next law clerk opening is for the term beginning August 2027. Law clerks are expected to take a bar examination, if not a licensed attorney. 

Judge Broniec accepts applications from practicing attorneys and from law students who have completed their second semester of their second year in law school. Applicants must be United States citizens. Strongest consideration is given to applicants with strong academic records who have law review or other research and writing experience.

Applicants should submit a resume, law school transcript, writing sample and three letters of recommendation. The decision as to which candidates are interviewed is dependent on the strength of the application materials and references.
