The Municipal Clerk Education Committee (MCEC) is offering this instructor-led training program tailored for new municipal court clerks – the New Municipal Division Clerk Orientation. The MCEC has designed this comprehensive program for municipal court clerks with less than one year of court experience. As job duties have evolved over the years, the committee has listened to clerks, evaluated training offerings and methods, and built this program.
In this 3.5-day class, the new clerks will have the opportunity to learn from the judiciary’s subject matter experts and to ask questions for more clarity on a wide range of topics, from core responsibilities of a municipal court clerk to details of court operating rules. Reporting requirements will be identified. They will also explore vital resources used to support their knowledge and workflows.
