• Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplementation Fund Participation | Legislative changes were made August 28, 2023, to Section 57.280, RSMo in regard to Special Process Servers service of civil case documents. Specifically, the statute states the court clerk shall collect 10 dollars as a court cost for service of any summons, writ, subpoena, or other order of the court if any person other than a sheriff is specially appointed to serve in a county that receives funds under Section 57.278, RSMo. Please see the list provided by the Missouri Department of Public Safety to check if your county receives funds.
