DOC Video Scheduler (DVS) Reminders
When scheduling in the DVS system under “Additional Visitors”:
Send Writ to DOC a minimum of seven days in advance of the court date:
- Courts must enter the offender name and DOC ID. The report received and utilized by the DOC records offices will not contain the necessary information for the offender to appear without this information.
- Courts must enter the offender DOC ID after the last name. Please use the offender search tool on the MODOC website to verify the DOC ID number. If the county doesn't have the DOC ID they can enter the DOB after the offender name. For example, Joe Smith DOB 01011997 in this format. The system will not accept hyphens or slashes. This will ensure records staff can identify the correct offender.
- The Missouri DOC Offender Web Search can be found using the following link: https://web.mo.gov/doc/offSearchWeb/
Send Writ to DOC a minimum of seven days in advance of the court date:
- Courts should send the writ/notification as soon as the hearing is scheduled in the DVS system. DOC will try to accommodate late notices, but this can be difficult to notify appropriate staff and move the offender to video court.
- Courts that experience technical difficulty and are unable to connect and continue the hearing should notify DOC.
- When scheduling multiple offenders in multiple DOC facilities for the same time, facilities can end up with several offenders waiting long periods of time for their appearance. This can cause issues for staff supervising those offenders while they wait and especially when it involves high security and/or uncooperative offenders. Please be aware when scheduling for multiple facilities at once, DOC has requested specific court times for individual offenders and hearing offender cases in order by institution instead of going back and forth from site to site
