Court Resources Manual

Court Resources Billboard
The Court Resources Manual provides step-by-step Show-Me Courts procedures needed for case processing. Each chapter references the statutes, rules, United States Code and/or federal regulations that provide the reasons the steps are needed. Links are provided to the SMC In-App Help for users who need help entering information in SMC.
You can access the Court Resources Manual in one of two ways:
  1. From Show-Me Courts (SMC), click the “wrench” in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. From the Court Information Center (CIC) Home page, click the Court Resources icon in the Court Tools section.
The Court Resources Manual is replacing the Court Clerk Handbook (CCHB). More than 80 percent of the information previously in the CCHB is available in the Court Resources Manual and has been updated to include SMC procedures. For content no longer available in the CCHB, a link to the Court Resources Manual chapter has been provided. The remaining CCHB chapters will continue to be written and tested, and once available in the Court Resources Manual, deleted from the CCHB.

Compliance with codes is essential for new construction and renovations! New homes must adhere to a variety of codes including electrical, plumbing and fire safety codes.

Codes for Show-Me Courts (SMC) are equally important and the Court Resources Manual can help!
It provides best practices, including what code to use for a specific process. Using the same codes is necessary because information is extracted from SMC for annual reports and data requests. Also, certain codes cause the system to automatically submit data to other entities, such as the highway patrol for NICS reporting. So use the Court Resources Manual and do your part to keep our "new home" working great!
