RULE 360. LIMITATIONS ON LENGTH OF BRIEFS

(a) All briefs shall comply with Rule 84.06 with the following exceptions:

1) Appellant’s initial brief prepared pursuant to Rule 84.05(a), an original brief filed pursuant to Rule 84.05(c), and all briefs in a cross appeal except the reply brief shall not exceed:

(a) 15,500 words, or

(b) 1,100 lines of text if the brief uses a monospaced face.

Respondent’s brief and reply brief shall not exceed 90 percent and 25 percent, respectively, of the limits prescribed by this rule.

2) A brief prepared pursuant to Rule 81.21(e) shall not exceed the following page limitations:

(a) Appellant’s brief and all briefs in a cross appeal except the reply brief, 50 pages;

(b) Respondent’s brief, 45 pages;

(c) Reply brief, 15 pages.

(b) Any motion for filing a brief in excess of these limitations on length shall be filed at least 10 days prior to the date the brief is due. Such motion may be granted only upon good cause shown.

(c) The Table of Contents and Table of Authorities do not count toward the word and line limitations.
